About us
The Southern Cross Association is a Queensland-based motorcycling group which raises funds for children's charities. The main fundraiser is a weeklong poker run in the first week of September each year.
Each year a different route through rural and regional Queensland is chosen and as of the 2024 run $950,000 has been raised and donated to charity - most recently the Pyjama Foundation.
Around 350 - 400 riders participate each year and enjoy the camaraderie while raising funds, visiting and supporting regional and rural towns and giving talks at schools along the way. More on the poker runs here.
